Let me set the scene - toluene loss of containment on a 30deg day, now toluene has a flash point of 4deg. So pretty much any warm surface will ignite it. A 4 man work party was working nearby, who incidently got flash burns from the fireball that endured when the vapours reached a hot metal fence several fires had started in the surrounding bush. 1 deceased, 4 injured . Dfes attending, rescue recovery 1 supplied the ambulance and medics for the day, simcoa our mutal aid attended too. It was a hell of a day for the ert team.
