The smiles came after the push up the decline to rescue teammates in a simulated underground incident. With motivation and pushing through adversity, the team managed to succede in their mission. Our reward as underground rescue trainers comes when we see the hundreds of individual skills to achieve the purpose of why we train as hard as we do. Next time, it could be real and we won’t be there. So our job is to focus on our students and get them ready to save lives.
