Great question mate 👍 Would have to be operational readiness. Failing to achieve this sets you and your team up for failure at the scene. I see it as the backbone to creating a successful team. Every bit of equipment we carry is there to help us be successful on scene and keep ourselves, team and others safe. It’s one thing to turn up on scene knowing you have the skill set, but it’s another thing knowing your turning up with equipment that will allow you to utilise that skill set.
For me it’s probably time management and keeping an open mind so I don’t rush in and focus on the changing situation and the environment. I’m lucky enough to have had great trainers.
Don’t let you career or ego become who you are, always be learning and developing your mates, treat people with compassion and kindness in your daily renewable contract to be the very best version of yourself.
