Howdy Tribe! Here’s some important changes made to Rescue Connect and our community to encourage the best performance and quality from our platform that you deserve. Let me cut you in on a little secret… We made Rescue Connect at a significant cost and time investment for our members (that’s YOU legend!). In time, we are going to add premium paid features for our members who want more out of their careers and professional growth. It’s all in our Q3 business plan. This is designed that for what premium members will choose to pay the value MUST exceed the value they are paying, we’re busy in the background making all this happen. Rescue Connect will still be FREE, but it will include some wicked features to give that extra value we know (because we’ve asked) that you want! Here’s what we’ve changed and what you need to know: 1. MEMBER INFORMATION: You’ve gotta let us know that you’re LEGIT! Our community deserves quality rescue personnel as we grow. This means we need to validate who you are and encourage you to participate in this type of community. If we don’t know who you are, it makes Rescue Connect less valid for what we’re here for. Just include a link to your work, employment number, rescue organisation or similar so we can ‘verify’ your employment as a professional please. 2. MANDATORY FIELDS: It’s now compulsory to enter your: Years of experience; role in rescue and other important info so we all know who we’re talking to (which is quite fair and reasonable as this is the purpose of our special community). 3. MEMBER PHOTO: We include the avatar image when you sign up as part of your profile photo, buuut, it’s normal to include a photo of yourself so again, we know who we’re talking to. There’s so many awesome things coming to Rescue Connect and the research and time we’ve invested into this unique platform is aimed at supporting the right type of community! This means that as per our user agreement, we’ve got your back! It’s not just another Facebook or LinkedIn group where we merely act as ‘experts’ or play ‘arm chair generals’ on the comments section. We encourage you all to: Share, learn and grow as a community. We will help shape this for you going forward and focus on quality over purely quality. If you haven’t done so already and to get the BEST user experience make sure to: - Add a profile picture to your profile - Add a background picture to your profile - Create a private chat group with your work colleagues - Invite new quality members to join - Ask a question by doing a livestream to your community We use strong internet security protocols and secure your data.
